HyperEVM is the EVM-compatible execution environment on Hyperliquid L1 — a high-performance blockchain purpose-built for decentralized finance. It allows developers to deploy Solidity and Vyper smart contracts that inherit the security and performance of HyperBFT consensus while accessing the native on-chain order book.

Unlike traditional EVM chains, HyperEVM is not just another rollup or sidechain. It is a first-class execution environment on the Hyperliquid L1 itself, sharing the same validator set and consensus mechanism. This means HyperEVM smart contracts have direct, composable access to Hyperliquid's order book liquidity — something no other EVM chain can offer.
